There Is No Such Thing as Too Late
Shared from Sahil Bloom on LinkedIn

The picture in words
It lists late milestones that still count: a four-year degree taking seven years, graduating at 50, a Mercedes at 65.
There’s really no such thing as too late.
Every single time I thought I was too late, it was still early.
The timelines we create for ourselves are mostly just arbitrary nonsense.
- I need [X] title by [X] age
- I need [Y] salary by [Y] age
- I need to get Forbes [X] under [X]
There’s no fixed path—you create your own.
You get to decide what your successful life looks like.
Most of the timelines are cultural or social norms.
They are “default settings” (as David Foster Wallace would say).
If we don’t actively reject them, we wind up blindly worshipping them.
We measure our happiness against achieving them.
It’s a dangerous game to play.
You're never "too late" -- because your timeline is up to you.
No matter where you are in life today, you’re always one good decision away from being in a slightly better spot.
Start there—just make one good decision.
Then make another one.
Then another one. …
